Health & Safety

The health and safety of our staff and families is our top priority. We have implemented the following guidelines to aid in keeping everyone safe:

Temperature checks: If a fever of 99.9 or higher is found they will not be admitted. (PLEASE do not give children Tylenol at home for a fever and bring them in to the center.)They will not be allowed back until they are fever free for 24hrs without medication and will need a doctor’s note.

In the Classroom

Restricted classroom access: To minimize potential exposure, we ask that families not walk children to the classroom. Instead, please check in with staff in the lobby, and they’ll escort your child to their classroom. Classrooms will be reserved for teachers and children only.

Classroom cleanliness: Toys, books, craft materials, cubbies, and other high-touch surfaces will be routinely disinfected and rotated. Staff places all toys that have been in child’s mouth into the "dirty" labeled bucket to be washed/rinsed/bleached before reuse; wash rinse and bleach all tables before and after use.

Modifications to family-style dining: We’ve modified our shared mealtime practices to reduce the spread of germs. Students will still eat together but will not be serving themselves.

Hand Washing: Staff and children must wash hands upon entering and before leaving. Staff will also wash before & after handling food, after using the toilet, prior to starting a diaper change, after helping a child wipe their nose or mouth, before & after water/sensory play, before & after administering medication, after handing trash or waste baskets.

Social distancing: We will continue to practice social distancing as much as possible to reduce risk. Teachers and staff will also stay within their assigned group each day to minimize contact.

Outdoor Fun

On the playground: Outdoor play structures will be utilized by one class at a time.

We will continue to work hard to follow the CDC guidelines on protocols for childcare facilities.
